Community Monthly Update – September 2024

Hi All,

We’re thrilled to share the newest edition of our Newsletter with you! Stay informed with the latest updates and insights that will empower your Adobe Commerce journey.

Adobe Commerce 2.4.7-p2, 2.4.6-p7, 2.4.5-p9 and 2.4.4-p10 security-only patches are Live!

On August 13, we successfully released publicly the following new versions of Adobe Commerce:

All the security-only patch releases provide fixes for vulnerabilities that have been identified in any of the previously released Adobe Commerce versions.

Security-only patch release also includes non-security fixes for JavaScript error that prevented Google Maps from rendering properly in the PageBuilder editor and JSON web token (JWT) validation issue related to CVE-2024-34102

Please see detailed information about what is in scope of security-only releases in the release notes:

Compatibility with previous RabbitMQ versions 3.12 and 3.11 is still in place, but it is recommended to use Adobe Commerce 2.4.7, 2.4.6 and 2.4.5 only with RabbitMQ 3.13 and migrate from RabbitMQ 3.11/3.12 during the upgrade to the latest security patches.

Community Prioritization Process

The Magento Open Source Community Prioritization Process  empowers the community to influence the Magento Open Source roadmap and code base by letting the community upvote the pull requests that brings most value to them. We then pick the most up voted PRs (Pull Requests) to work on and add them to the community dashboard with a purple label – “Project: Community Picked.”

We picked up a new batch of 15 pull requests on August 16, 2024. These are the ones that made it to the community dashboard –

Magento Deployment Service to be decommissioned starting Sept 19, 2024

Magento Deployment Service is being used to deploy Magento instances to the dedicated server and provides the ability to confirm issues and check pull request changes. Due to security concerns, we are decommissioning this service starting Sept 19, 2024. We recommend using local setup to verify issues and pull request changes and regret any inconveniences that you may have.
