Hello all,
Welcome to the last newsletter of the year! It is hard to believe how fast this year has gone by.
Happy 40th Birthday Adobe!
In December 1982, John Warnock and Chuck Geschke founded the company with a vision to create innovative products that change the world. As the first open, international standard for computer printing, PostScript launched the desktop publishing revolution. Over the past four decades, our innovations have touched billions of people across the globe and empowered them to be inspired, create, and share their stories with the world. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we have the incredible opportunity to reflect on some of the most incredible moments of the company, customers and community over this time. Read more.
Community Prioritization Process
We’re making great progress on the Community Prioritization Process which provides the community the ability to influence the Magento Open Source roadmap by voting for the most pressing items. Read Ritesh’s post on what it is and how to vote for the items you want.
In addition, read the post here about the progress we’ve made on the initial set of pull requests that the community voted on. Thanks again to everyone’s involvement and looking to keep the momentum going here as we start off 2023.
The second set of PRs have been added to the community dashboard.
Payment Services
Payment Services for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source introduces stored card payment!
With this feature, merchants have the flexibility to enable the option for their shoppers to securely store their payment cards for future use. The next time a shopper comes to the merchant website, they have the option to use a stored card, avoiding the need to remember and type full card numbers. All of this is done securely with encryption and adhering to PCI standards.
Now merchants can get the benefit of increased conversion and repeat purchases, and shoppers have a simple way to make a purchase, securely.
For more information about this feature, or Payment Services, reach out to Harrison Loveall (Sales) or Ritesh Somani (Product).

Magento Association
The Magento Association has announced Mathias Schreiber as the association’s new executive director. After four years of successfully building up the Magento Association with the services of an association management company, the Board is confident that the Magento Association is now in a place where it can operate successfully without this broad service offering. With Mathias at the helm, taking over the role of executive director previously held by Smithbucklin personnel, the Board feels certain that this will help the Magento community head into an even brighter future.
