Adobe Commerce Feature Release
Adobe Commerce is excited to announce our January Feature release, including powerful new composable commerce capabilities, along with other valuable product updates and announcements. Check out our Adobe Release Blog for more information.
Adobe Makes Composable Easier
Adobe is introducing powerful new extensibility and integration capabilities for Adobe Commerce that simplify building and maintaining composable commerce applications.
Adobe Developer App Builder – A cloud native extensibility platform that works with multiple Adobe solutions and is now available for Adobe Commerce.
API Mesh – An API orchestration layer that combines API from Adobe and third-party services into a single graph making it simple to introduce services into your composable commerce application.
Adobe I/O Events – Simplified capture of Commerce events and data that can be consumed in App Builder apps or used to call webhooks.
Together, these new capabilities drastically reduce the time to deploy new features while reducing the cost to maintain and upgrade your commerce application. Customers can easily add, upgrade, and replace third-party services to combine best-of-breed solutions with the Adobe Commerce platform. App Builder also takes care of provisioning all the resources required for building and hosting composable apps so developers can focus on solving business problems. These services are available to all Adobe Commerce customers and an allocation of App Builder capacity is included at no additional cost for cloud customers.
Additional Adobe Commerce Feature Updates
In addition to introducing new capabilities that empower customers to build composable applications, Adobe is introducing enhancements to existing capabilities. Highlights include:
Making it easier for customers to use Catalog Service by integrating it with API Mesh and introducing simplified onboarding
Quick Checkout introduces comprehensive reporting so that you can get detailed information on your store’s checkout experience statistics including checkout time, checkout abandonment, and orders by account type
Improved search results that consider inventory status when using Live Search

Community Prioritization Process for Magento Open Source
The Magento Open Source Community Prioritization Process was kicked off in November of last year. This initiative empowers the community to influence the Magento Open Source roadmap and code base by upvoting the pull requests that brings most value to them. We then pick the most up voted PRs (Pull Requests) to work on and add them to the community dashboard with a purple label – “Project: Community Picked.” The second set of 6 PRs were added in mid-December based on community voting with the thumbs up reaction. Read the full progress update here.

Payment Services for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source
Payment Services for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source provides merchants with the peace of mind that they will be able to collect payment for all their orders in the way that shoppers want to pay. Best of all, configuration and customization is done mainly from the Admin so changing payment methods and customizing location and look and feel doesn’t require a cumbersome development and deployment process.
Shortly, Payment Services will be expanding internationally starting with the UK. We are actively looking for our first merchants in this region. By getting involved now, merchants will have extra attention from our product and engineering teams in making sure they are up and running quickly and efficiently. You might also be featured in an upcoming Adobe announcement, providing more exposure for your business. Reach out to Harrison Loveall (Sales), [email protected] or Ritesh Somani (Product), [email protected] for more information or to answer any questions.
Catalog Service for Adobe Commerce
The Catalog Service for Adobe Commerce is a multi-tenant SaaS service that provides read-only catalog data to power storefront shopping experiences. Consumable via GraphQL APIs, it provides new API queries to boost performance and improve the scalability of catalog data retrieval.
In our testing, we have seen up to 10X faster data retrieval, meaning, product detail pages, category pages, search results, and other pages within our merchants’ website that require catalog data will display information much faster and become more responsive, resulting in improved customer experience and conversion rates.
Additionally, merchants using both Catalog Service and Live Search for Adobe Commerce together will further benefit as Catalog Service will make information, not readily available through Live Search, available to be displayed like size options and dynamic attributes.
The Catalog Service for Adobe Commerce version 1.3 is now available (release notes). This version helps you to test the Catalog Service on a sandbox environment and will also allow you to onboard autonomously, much faster and easier, it now follows the same process as other Adobe Commerce SaaS services.
The Catalog Service for Adobe Commerce it is available at no additional cost to Adobe Commerce merchants and partners (cloud and on-prem), and this service can work on its own, as a stand-alone, or together with other existing SaaS services like Product Recommendations or Live Search.
